Abstrak

In the modern context, a contemporary approach is essential to maintain the relevance of Hadith messages amidst changing times. This study aims to analyze the correlation between natural, social, and cultural science approaches and the methods of understanding the Prophet's Hadith. Using a descriptive qualitative method through library research, this study integrates classical and contemporary literature with interdisciplinary sciences.

The results indicate that the natural science approach opens space for interpretation based on scientific findings, such as the antibacterial indications in the "Hadith of the Fly." The social approach (sociology) enables an understanding of Hadith within the framework of social structures and community dynamics, positioning Hadith as the Prophet's response to the social realities of his time. Meanwhile, the cultural approach (anthropology) emphasizes understanding based on value systems and traditions, allowing the message of Hadith to be contextualized across different spaces and times.

The correlation of these three approaches produces a more comprehensive, flexible, and adaptive interpretation without diminishing the essence of its authenticity. Consequently, contemporary approaches are not intended to replace classical methods but to complement them, ensuring that Hadith understanding remains relevant, applicable, and capable of providing solutions to various humanitarian problems in the modern era.
